The big 3 fights are good , but slides quickly down after that...but it's all about the The HW belt at this point...should be a dog fight and we should assume Stipe has been training his wrestling and TDD because thats what it will come down to. Question is can he stop DC's TD and dog fight pressure that DC usually brings.

I think, as much as TD's and TDD will be huge, cardio will play a huge roll in the fight again....I guess that could be part and parcel to the TD aspect as well. DC won the first fight and was well on the way to winning the second until some well placed body shots started zapping DC's gas. Cormier says he's been training hardcore again and that he didn't train smart for the last fight, whether that is just him trying to convince himself and give an excuse for the loss we'll see.
Just based on optics from the 1st 2 fights, where DC was winning a majority of it, I am going to assume he does train smarter and wins this rubber match.....I hope I'm wrong as I want Stipe to win

What a terrific fight for the belt, Both guys left it all out there in a hard fought dog fight. Stipe just proved to be the better fighter over the five rounds. I think DC didnt bother much with his wrestling because the TD he got in the first round had Stipe just get right back to his feet and over a possible rounds that's a lot of energy wasted for nothing.
DC did take a good eye poke in the fight but to me what goes around comes around and he can appreciate how hard it is to fight with a sore eye.

O'Malley had an unfortunate foot injury which basically caused him to lose the fight, too bad hopefully this isnt something that will hamper him going forward as its happened before especially for a guy who kicks all the time.

JDS was doing OK in his fight slightly winning till he wasnt...JR hits hard of course and JDS not having an iron chin anymore doesnt help.

I'm seeing a lot of shit for this fight, and more specifically Stipe, on line. I'm with you Jax, I thought it was a terrific. Stipe fought a near perfect fight and was able to nullify DC for the most part. As for the eye poke, yeah it wasn't great but let's not pretend DC didn't get him first in the previous round and the first 2 fights.

I'd like to see a rematch with O'Malley and Vera....not sure if Suga was in over his young head or not but that fight is a different fight without the injury.....having said that, like you say Jax, this isn't the first time Suga has suffered a serious injury.....not saying this one is serious or not but it didn't look real great.

JDS still has that great boxing skillset, he was doing pretty decent but his chin will prevent him from being much more than a .500 fighter moving forward.

Was pretty impressed with Merab Dvalishvili, he could end up being a player at 135
